Plastic, once seen as one of the greatest inventions of the 20th century, has become one of the biggest polluters of the 21st. Every year, the Earth produces more than 300 million tons of waste plastic waste, seriously eroding the human life and home, the global plastic crisis is imminent. The United Nations Environment Assembly has urged countries to speed up and upgrade legislation to build a recycling system for plastic waste.
As the largest producer and consumer of plastic in the world, China has introduced a number of policies to comprehensively focus on the "double carbon" goal and contribute its own plan to the global response to plastic pollution.
On April 18, 2017, the central Committee convened the 34th meeting of the Leading Group for Comprehensively Deepening Reform. The solid waste import management system should be improved, and management of solid waste recycling and utilization should be strengthened to develop a circular economy, according to the meeting, which focuses on safeguarding the country's ecological environment and people's health.
In our country, every year, there are more than 20 million tons of plastic waste waiting to be developed and recycled, however, only less than 40% of the recovery rate, a direct resource waste of up to 28 billion Yuan. The launch of the "double carbon" target is timely, but it also poses a greater challenge for the resource recycling industry. Fulin Environmental Protection is born in this era of great achievements. We feel a heavy responsibility on our shoulders, and we are full of confidence.
Guided by the thought of ecological progress, China has implemented the new development philosophy, and adhered to the path of ecological priority, green and low-carbon development. China will strive to achieve carbon peak by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060.
